| Summary, etc. | No es cierto que la economía cafetera haya sido fundamento de la democracia colombiana por haber fomentado la pequeña y mediana explotación, Machado demuestra que, al contrario, en este sector ha habido considerable concentración de la propiedad y abusiva explotación en aparcerías y fo mas precapitalistas de producción, lo cual explica la gran rebeldía campesina de los años veintes y treintas. Describe de manera clara, interesante y documentada cómo aquellas formas se fueron convirtiendo en relaciones capitalistas, gracias a coyunturas nacionales e internacionales. Por todo esto, constituye lectura obligatoria para aquellos que quieran entender a fondo el origen y las formas reales del conflicto agrario nacional. |
