Summary, etc. La gestión es la capacidad de llevar a cabo lo propuesto, por eso la gestión pública la podemos entender como la capacidad de los alcaldes y funcionarios gubernamentales para ejecutar los lineamientos programáticos consignados en los planes de desarrollo. Tal capacidad puede ser ejercida atendiendo las orientaciones y recomendaciones presentes en el actual documento que el DNP pone a disposición de las administraciones municipales colombianas, cuyo principal objetivo es dar orientaciones para que las prácticas gubernamentales sean ejercidas con legitimidad, transparencia, eficacia y eficiencia. El desarrollo de los municipios depende también de la calidad y eficiencia de las política y de la gestión pública.
