| Summary, etc. | Después de la muerte de san Francisco surgió por toda Italia una multitud de historias sobre la vida del santo y sus seguidores. Algunas de ellas fueron reunidas en el libro Las florecillas de san Francisco, que fue escrito, probablemente, entre finales del siglo XIII y mediados del XIV. Los relatos que aparecen en este libro hacen parte de la tradición religiosa popular y cuentan los pasajes de la vida de san Francisco en los que realiza milagros y convierte a hombres y mujeres con su ejemplo, perfilando con ello a un santo más imaginario que real, y también por esta razón, una leyenda. |
