| Summary, etc. | Uno de los grandes clásicos de la novela de aventura es la isla del tesoro (1883) del escocés Robert Louis Stevenson, cuyo agradable estilo narrativo, lleno de ritmo y de armonía, se caracteriza también por un suave humor y una inagotable destreza descriptiva, tanto del carácter de sus personaje como del entorno en el que se desenvuelven. La trama de la novela tienen ribetes fantásticos, pero su estructura le da una gran credibilidad, un enfoque realista que le hace pensar al lector si las endiabladas peripecias de los héroes de Stevenson no habrán ocurrido de verdad en algún momento. De hecho, ya un siglo antes Daniel Defoe había entrevistado en carne y hueso a muchos de esos piratas imaginarios que aparecen en La isla del tesoro. |
