| Summary, etc. | En Grecia sobresale la fábula en la figura de Esopo, cuya existencia a veces parece dudosa, pues alrededor de su vida se han tejido historias y anécdotas que se contradicen entre sí. Muchos temas tratados por el fabulista griego fueron retomadas por otros autores como los fabulistas españoles Iriarte y Samaniego (quienes siempre escribieron en verso). Iriarte usó la fábula para enseñar preceptos literarios; Samaniego por su parte, reescribió los temas en versos castellanos. |
