Summary, etc. Sin lugar a dudas, la política de seguridad es la principal política pública del gobierno del Presidente Álvaro Uribe Vélez. Con ella el primer mandatario está respondiendo al claro perentorio mandato que le dieron los ciudadanos que lo eligieron en la primera vuelta de las elecciones presidenciales: recuperar la seguridad. Y, en efecto hasta ahora, los inusitadamente altos niveles de popularidad del Gobierno están relacionados con el hecho de que la mayoría de la población valora positivamente su gestión en esta materia.
