| Summary, etc. | Estos cuentos no los escribió Asturias con la intención "que fueran para niños"; los escribió para sus hijos Rodrigo y Miguel Ángel. Y son cuentos, pero fueron cartas que el autor escribió en Guatemala, para sus hijos que vivían en México; cinco cartas-cuentos fechadas entre enero y marzo de 1947.<br/>En esta edición, los cuentos guardan un orden cronológico; y, antes de cada uno, se incluyó un fragmento de la carta de la que formaba parte. Disfrutemos ahora estas páginas esplendorosas porque, como escribió el autor a propósito de ellas, la vida es también un contar de cuentos. |
